Getting Started: How to Use Our Tools
Using any tool on our website follows a simple three-step process. Whether you are merging, converting, or protecting a file, the workflow is always the same.
- Choose Your Tool: From our homepage, select the tool that matches the task you want to perform (e.g., "Merge PDF," "JPG to PDF").
- Select Your File(s): Click the "Select File" button or drag and drop your file(s) into the designated area. Since all processing happens in your browser, your files are never uploaded to our servers.
- Process & Download: Adjust any available options (like compression level or page orientation), then click the process button (e.g., "Convert," "Protect PDF"). Your new file will be generated instantly, and a download prompt will appear.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Encountering an issue? Here are solutions to the most common problems our users face.
Problem: My file is not converting or is showing an error.
This is the most common issue and can usually be solved by checking one of the following:
- The File is Corrupted: The original document may be damaged. Try opening it on your desktop to see if it's readable.
- The File is Password-Protected: Most of our tools cannot process locked files. Please use our "Unlock PDF" tool first if you have the password, or remove the protection using a desktop application.
- Browser Extensions are Interfering: Ad-blockers or other browser extensions can sometimes block the scripts that power our tools. Try temporarily disabling them or using your browser's "Incognito" or "Private" mode.
- The File is Too Large or Complex: Because processing happens on your computer, very large or complex files can sometimes exceed your browser's memory limits. Try splitting the file into smaller parts if possible.
Problem: The download did not start after processing.
If your file processed successfully but didn't download, it is likely a browser setting:
- Check for a Pop-up Blocker: Your browser may have blocked the download prompt. Look for a notification icon in your address bar to allow downloads from our site.
- Check Your Browser's Download Folder: The file may have downloaded silently without a prompt. Check the default "Downloads" folder on your computer.
Problem: The final document's formatting is incorrect.
We strive for perfect conversions, but complex layouts (with special fonts, intricate tables, or layered images) can sometimes be challenging to replicate perfectly. If this happens, please double-check the original document's structure. For best results, use standard fonts and simple layouts.
